VPN-opstelling voor Ubuntu : PPTP-protocol
Dit artikel legt uit hoe je PPTP VPN-protocolverbinding op Ubuntu kunt instellen.
Before we begin, you need to Activate your VPN account from your Smart DNS Proxy MyAccount panel. In order to do this login to your https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/MyAccount.
Under Home section you will find VPN Configuration Status. There simply enter the VPN username you would like to use and then click Activate. Your VPN account password will be the same as your Smart DNS Proxy account.

This guide is written using Ubuntu 14.04 as an example, but should be able to be used on many other Linux distributions that use a recent version of Gnome NetworkManager.
Before configure connection you should install network-manager-pptp package.
STEP #1
Click the Network icon on your panel > Configure VPN
STEP #2
Click Add > Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)
STAP 3
Vul de "Verbindingsnaam" in als elke vriendelijke naam die u wilt, d.w.z.; "Smart DNS Proxy VPN". Voer het serveradres in dat u wilt verbinden met "Gateway". U kunt vind hier alle Smart DNS Proxy VPN netwerkadressen. en "Gebruikersnaam" velden zoals hieronder, zorg ervoor dat het wachtwoord veld leeg is. Uw gebruikersnaam wordt vermeld in uw Smart DNS Proxy Mijn Account > Home > VPN sectie.
STAP 4
- Controleer "Point-to-Point codering (MPPE) gebruiken".
- Laat de beveiliging op "Allemaal beschikbaar" staan (standaard).
- Controleer "Stateful encryption toestaan".
- Schakel het vinkje bij "BSD-datacompressie toestaan" uit.
- Schakel het vinkje bij "Deflate Data Compression toestaan" uit.
- Schakel het vinkje bij "TCP-headercompressie gebruiken" uit.
- Controleer "Send PPP Echo Packets".
Sla de configuratie op en verlaat de menu's weer.
STEP #5
Click the NetworkManager icon, and disable and then re-enable networking to force a configuration reload.
Klik opnieuw op NetworkManager en vervolgens op VPN Connections, nl-am2.serverlocation.co om een verbinding te starten. Voer uw wachtwoord in wanneer daarom wordt gevraagd.
En je zou nu verbonden moeten zijn! U kunt uw nieuwe ip en locatie verifiëren met https://www.whatismyip.com/.
